As I walked back from the gym at lunch, an idea struck me. What if I could write a petition on
Caliope's behalf to Leona
Helmsley's dog Trouble.
How much money could a
Maltese need? Certainly not $12 million, right? Not ALL of it. I'm sure he could spare a couple thousand for
Caliope's surgeries. Some of her closest friends are
Malteses - like Cat's dog Gypsy and his cousin (sort of) Junior.
That's got to count for something. If Bill and Melinda Gates can have a foundation why not Trouble? The Save the Dogs from Brooklyn Fund. Trisha, you like letters...start writing.
